Their History:

While the name Everlast has become synonymous with boxing, the company's origins trace back to its beginnings as a swimwear manufacturer in the Bronx in 1910. Jacob Golomb, a seventeen-year-old son of a tailor and an enthusiastic swimmer, was dissatisfied with the durability of swimsuits at the time, prompting him to create suits guaranteed to last a full year. He proudly christened them "EVERLAST," and though the swimsuits didn’t withstand the test of time, the name endured.

Over time, Golomb transitioned his company into a small retail store offering a complete range of sports equipment. In 1917, a young boxer named Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Golomb and Everlast. Dempsey approached Golomb with a request for protective headgear enduring over 15 rounds of rigorous boxing training. Golomb specially crafted the training gear for Dempsey. By 1919, Dempsey secured the world's heavyweight championship wearing boxing gloves crafted for him by Golomb, solidifying Everlast as the global hub for boxing equipment.

On October 24, 2000, Active Apparel Group (AAGP) management and shareholders acquired the Everlast brand and its boxing equipment. Subsequently, on September 20, 2007, Everlast Worldwide Inc. was acquired by the UK-based company Brands Holdings.

Since 2007, the Everlast brand has expanded its presence to over 101 countries and counting, with 88 dedicated outlets.
