Okabashi name is inspired by the Japanese concept of wellness.

The initial designs of their footwear were developed based on the principles of reflexology. This theory posits that various regions of the foot are linked to specific organs and systems within the body. It is thought that exerting pressure on these critical foot areas can promote relaxation and healing in the associated parts of the body.

Okabashi footwear is crafted from a unique, recyclable material that consists of 40% US-grown soy by weight, ensuring they are both vegan and cruelty-free. Additionally, their materials are free from BPA, latex, and phthalates, and are produced in the USA, contributing to a reduced carbon footprint.

By avoiding the shipment of their product from Asia to the US, Okabashi project a savings of approximately 134,000 gallons of fuel annually compared to operating internationally.
